The Bill (Reg.№4424) suggested by S. Oliynyk and A. Portnov envisages the strengthening of criminal liability for wittingly false evidence and rejection to give evidence by witnesses etc.
The authors of the bill grounding the necessity of the law adoption declared: "criminal liability for the giving wittingly false evidence is insufficient and such that does not fulfill the crime prevention function".
The Members of the Committee upheld the Bill, adoption of which according to them would facilitate reduction of the illegal conviction cases of citizens as well as would prevent ungrounded criminals palliateion.
